NaNoWriMo — Day 28

Bride of Tranquility wordcount widgets  The writing  came easy today.  I was writing the climax of the story and it just flowed.  So, less than 4,000 words.  I’m not quite sure how to wrap this up.   Horace Jones looked around at his neighbors and was concerned to see Bubba grilling up yet another rattlesnake tailgate-style […]

Christmas is coming — Books make good gifts.

So this is the point that I take off my writer hat and put on my salesman hat.   Actually, I never really take off my salesman hat.  Most folks who know me know that.  So here’s the scoop.  Christmas is coming, and all your money has to go somewhere.  Where do you want it to go?   […]

NaNoWriMo — Day 27

Bride of Tranquility wordcount widgets   Only about 908 words behind today.  Which makes me feel much better.  With three days to go, it’s easier to be 900 words behind than it is 9,000 (like I was on Thanksgiving.)  So I worked my butt off to get the extra words squeezed in.  And you know what […]

Still behind

I thought I was going to get to use the holidays to catch up. Somewhere in my head, I had this grand idea that I was going to be sitting around with hours of free time that I could just fill up with writing. But between family members, two holidays and housework that seemed to […]

NaNoWriMo — Day 18

Bride of Tranquility wordcount widgets  I realize that I’m no Tarintino.  But everytime I write out the title to my novel, Bride of, I keep imagining that it involves the titular character to Kill Bill.  And that she’s going to be charging the halls of the hotel in the novel in a yellow jumpsuit and […]

NaNoWriMo — Day 17

NaNoWriMo — Day 17 Bride of TranquiltyWord Count — 28,341   “Dr. Dave?  You mind staying here?” “What are you, Loco?” David looked at Jake with an incredulous expression.  “This place is haunted, and there is a murderer running loose.  I’m not staying down in the crazy mortuary o’ doom by myself.” “It’s a crime […]

NanoWriMo — Day 15

Bride of Tranquility wordcount widgets  Well, it looks like I’m about halfway there.  🙂  “You know there are some wild rumors floating around the diner,” Average said as Rachel pulled her truck up in front of the Tranquility Veterinarian Clinic. The clinic was a two-story farmhouse set at the edge of a large open field.  […]
