Late August is the start of County Fair Season. In honor of this, we’ve gone out to our local county fair to bring you the latest edition of the Yard Dog Press Audio Roadshow.

First up, Sherri Dean reads from her fair inspired story – The Monkey Queen of Oz.

Then we have part 6 of Selina Rosen’s serial – The African Frog

After which, I have a new segment – News From the Yard.

  •  Selina Rosen’s newest play Living The Dream was just produced at the Mulberry Little Theatre.
  • Richard Dansky just sold two new short stories, one to the anthology Coins of Chaos, and another to Dark Faith: Invocations.
  • Melissa Tatum Is producing a benefit CD filled with songs that she authored, all proceeds will be donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research.  Musicians on the album include Robbie O’Connell, Aoife Clancy, Jim and Beth Malcolm, Mairtin de Cogain, Dene Foye, Three Weird Sisters, Wild Mercy, and more!  The URL is www.CathBenefitCD.org
  • Tim Frayser is volunteering as a Black Rock Ranger at this year’s Burning Man festival in Nevada this very week. So if you are en route to Burning Man, or there already, be sure to say hi to him.
  • And if your little cherubs and monsters are going back to school, remember that Yard Dog Press also has several age-appropriate books that are perfect for book reports, including The Essence of Stone, Bobby’s Troll, Stories that Won’t Make Your Parents Hurl, and More Stories that Won’t Make your Parents Hurl.
