So long story short, family Thanksgiving led to family stomach flu. And out of the three of us, I seem to be the one recovering the slowest. I had enough energy today for short bursts of activity, but more sitting and standing.
So I didn’t really do the prep work for the taco soup I planned for tonight. Prep work being precooking the pinto beans.
But I found instructions on how to cook dry beans in less than 90 minutes on a website called The Paupered Chef.
Essentially you boil the beans, and then slow cook them in the oven for 75 minutes.
This is the same website that I found the recipe for the Pullman bread loaf on. I’m going to have to see what other types of recipes and tips that they have.
