Friday Stats

We had a torrential downpour yesterday, which brought temperatures down to a refreshing 77 degrees. But since today is supposed to climb back into the 90’s, it’s perfectly humid. Every window in my house is fogged up. At least I won’t have to water the plants for a while. Word Count: 2,000 Stories out: 2

Fiction Friday

Did some writing last night that expanded a two paragraph exchange into a 4 page scene.  I love when research pays off.   Here’s my snippit of story for Fiction Friday.  It’s rough, so there are probably mistakes. “Haven’t you been listening to anything I say?”  Celeste wondered if Becky Sue had been hit over the […]

Fiction Friday: What is with the werewolf?

I realize that it’s saturday now, but it’s not my fault that LJ was down. “So . . . what is with the werewolf?             She studied her sister’s face in the mirror with a blank expression as she tried to think how best to answer the question.  Under her scrutiny, Becky Sue’s pale, freckled […]

Fiction Friday

Nearly headed off to dreamland without posting.  It’s been a productive week.  Today’s fiction snippet is from a short story that I’ve been working on for an anthology.

Is Rick Castle more Real than Me? And it’s Fiction Friday.

I finished Heat Wave, the tie in novel to the TV show Castle last night.  For a novel tie in, it was not bad.  There were some purple patches, but I’m pretty sure that the writer was trying to re-create the style of  the tears in the rain death scene From Castle’s season 1 reading.  […]

Fiction Friday, With a side of life.

My new glasses are in. I’m not sure how much I like them. On one hand, they’re very stylish. On the other, they’re less round than my old glasses, and I’ve lost quite a bit of my peripheral vision. Not sure I like that at all. It kind of makes me feel claustrophobic. Maybe I’ll […]

Monday Math (With a Side Order of Friday Fiction)

I typically post a bit of what I’m writing on Fridays, but I really, really needed a break this weekend. So I mostly spent the weekend baking Christmas cookies and leaving the computer off. So since I did not post on Friday, I’m posting a little bit of my writing today. Stories out 6 (two […]

Take what you hear with a grain of salt.

Random thought of the day: People vote every day with their time and money. Also, don’t forget about the Bride of Tranquility holiday promotion. Now, on to the fiction:
